How to answer these

Go with your first honest answer. Don't answer based on what you hope is true or what the company is becoming. Answer based on how it runs today.

• The questions focus on things you can verify: what's documented, what has happened in the past couple of months, and what your leadership team knows without having to look it up.
• You'll answer 15 questions covering five areas: accountability and decision rights, rhythm and execution, measurement, direction, and culture and team health.
• Instead of one overall score, you'll get a score for each area. That makes it easier to see what needs the most attention and where to begin.
• The survey is designed for the CEO or owner, but it's useful for the whole leadership team. Comparing the CEO's answers with the team's often reveals more than the scores themselves.
